Getting Started
Brand-new players should begin with individual instruction through the Coaches section. After learning the rules and basic court position, use the lowest suitable league level or arrange an outdoor game at the Shannon Schartz Courts.

Great Bend Rec runs adult pickleball leagues throughout the year at multiple competition levels. Season dates and registration windows change. Use the adult pickleball league page for the current schedule and the online registration options. These leagues are the city's recurring organized play.
Visiting Great Bend and Looking for a Game?
If you are visiting alone, use the regional PlayTime Scheduler to arrange a Great Bend game before going to the courts. A day visitor should not expect a scheduled public drop-in session. If you already have partners, the Shannon Schartz Courts are the practical outdoor choice. Players staying longer can use Great Bend Rec's adult league program for regular organized matches.
